Austin and Klaire’s Fairy Tale Wedding

I knew as soon as I met Austin and Klaire we would be fast friends. We love the show Friends, have a fine cheese obsession, and both have a connection to the Marietta Square. I was so happy I could help their “Maxwell Fairytale” wedding come true at the beautiful vineyard, Chateau Elan in Braselton, Georgia. I love how this wedding really did live up to their hashtag #maxwellfairytale.

September 30th is my birthday and this sweet couple knew how to make me feel extra special. That night it was the rehearsal and they surprised me with Gigi cupcakes and the whole bridal party sang happy birthday. This just shows how thoughtful this couple truly is.

October 1st, 2017 starting with the Austin and Klaire joining breakfast, just the two of them, at Chateau Elan before getting ready. This was one of the key items Klaire mentioned she wanted to do. After the wedding I asked, ” What is a memory that was very special to you?” Klaire answered, ” Since we chose not to have a first look, we decided instead to meet for breakfast the morning of our wedding at the hotel. This allowed us to spend some time alone together before the wedding festivities began, which helped us both relax and focus on what really mattered. No one around us knew we were getting married that day ( besides a few bridesmaids who decided to spy on us), so it was the perfect way to start off the day without any pressure.”

Once I got to Chateau Elan, I was able to provide Klaire and her precious bridesmaids (all dressed in Weddington Way) an emergency

basket. I provide all my brides with this. It includes safety pins, deodorant, toothpaste, chapstick, lotion, selfi stick, etc. My wonderful assistant ( Jessie Loudin) helped me throughout the day! Love that girl! Once we got settled; the very talented florist, Amanda Clayton Designs, arrived and we were able to be in amazement by the stunning bouquet with gorgeous fall colors.

The photographer, who has become more of a friend ( Atalie Ann Photography ) was able to capture each emotion on film. I especially loved the first look  with Klaire’s Dad. Klaire is wearing a beautiful gown by BHLDN.

A man who knows how to dress is always impressive. This is Austin to the Max(well)… see what I did there? Austin is wearing Ermenegildo Zegna and look at that amazing boutonniere  by Amanda Clayton

Once it was 5:30 PM it was ceremony time. The ceremony took place in the vineyard lawn in front of this beautiful tree. Every song that Austin and Klaire chose for their ceremony was by the talented artist Tyler Lyle. I hadn’t heard of this artist until meeting them. Do yourself a favor and check him out! So good!!! There wasn’t a dry eye when Austin saw his bride for the first time. It was something out of a movie. So special. They ended the ceremony with the Friends theme song and a fun clap that had all the guests ready to celebrate. I had asked Klaire what is the one thing you will cherish from your special day? Her response is very much them, ” We’ll always cherish the fact that our wedding day was very “us”. As soon as we began planning, we decided our wedding would emulate our relationship and we wouldn’t try to impress or please anyone else with it. Every detail had a meaning and a purpose, some of which no one knew but us. Seeing little reminders of our love throughout the night helped us keep each other at the forefront of our minds the entire time, which allowed us to truly enjoy the night without worrying about the trivial things. “We enjoyed the night with dancing, a creme brulee torch ( instead of cake cutting- so cool), dinner by Chateau Elan, speeches, and sparklers… did I mention dancing??? This was a dancing crowd for sure! Even Atalie was bustin a move on the dance floor! Go girl!

One piece of advice Klaire wants to give to all brides, ” Take it easy, and enjoy every second of it- including the planning. Just don’t take it too seriously. At the end of the day, it’s about you and the love of your life coming together as one, and not about the decor or the flowers or the dress. Also delegate! Your family and friends want to help you, and you absolutely need it- so take them up on their offers early on in the planning process, then delegate everything that needs to happen the day of the wedding ahead of time. This will keep you from stressing and allow you to really enjoy this tie and take it all in.”

Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Austin Maxwell!!!
