Lucy and Guillermo’s Ashven Estate Dream Wedding

Lucy and Guillermo held their dream wedding at Ashven Estate on October 7th, 2017. The wedding was filled with beautiful Mexican traditions, passion, mariachi band, and lots of joy! I was so honored to be their wedding coordinator for their special day.             rociosphotography-1829

I met Lucy and Guillermo and immediately felt a sense of friendship. I was so excited to see their traditions and meet their wonderful family. Lucy met Guillermo in high school, but started dating years after. They have a beautiful little girl together and Lucy has 2 very sweet boys. After 8 years of dating Guillermo proposed to Lucy outside of Blockbuster. After enjoying their engagement rociosphotography-2163for a while they decided to to start planning their dream wedding.

On October 7th 2017 at 2:00 PM Guillermo and Lucy beginning of forever began and Rocio Photography was there to capture every bit of the magic!  We held the ceremony and reception at Ashven Estate in Villa Rica. The bridesmaids bouquets, bride bouquet, flower girl floral crown, and boutonnieres were all made by Barbara Dean Designs. I love the peach peonies adored with silver dollar eucalyptus. Lucy was wearing a stunning long gown by Prom USA with her best girlfriends wearing blush and peach dresses by Davids Bridal. We all rociosphotography-1365rociosphotography-2308loved Lucy’s green cowboy boots.

The merociosphotography-3263-2n looked super suave with tan suits and a fashionable  grooms white suit by Savvi Formal Wear.   I loved their sweet first look on the side of the barn. I had asked Lucy what memory stood out the most that day… ” the rhythm of his heart and his sweaty hand ( it sure was a hot day) as he was praying with me behind the barn door on our first look.” Many tears were shed once they looked into each others eyes. The look of love, passion, and joy was filled as they embraced. After their first look Guillermo had his first look with their daughter, Bella. This was such a sweet moment and I know they will cherish these pictures for a lifetime.

The ceremony music was Kingdom Melodies prior to Lucy walking out with her mom and son by her side. All the guests stood in awe of Lucy walking down and joining her almost husband at the front of the ceremony. Victor Alvarado, The Wedding Officiant, performed a bilingual Spanish/English Civil Ceremony and an elder from their Congregation of Jehovah Witness did a small Bible Talk from the NWT (New World Translation). As they were announced Mr. and Mrs. Honorato and sealed with a kiss an amazing Mariachi Band played called Mariachi Pepe Lopez. I loved getting to know this band and can’t wait to refer them to another client. They were so much fun!rociosphotography-2064

At the reception they had many traditions. One that will conrociosphotography-3229tinue to play in my memory is the Padrinos Dance. With this dance the Dj ( Yo Soy El Dj De Tu Fiesta) announced each person who helped with the wedding and they danced with Lucy. By the end of the dance they had close to 50 people dancing with each other to the same song. This was so special to see how many relatives came together to help make their dream wedding a reality. Another tradition was a gorgeous dance by Lucy’s mom, maid of honor, and mothers best friend. They each were wearing a bright color dress and they coordinated with each other on the exact moves of the dance. This was so beautiful to watch.rociosphotography-2626

The food was catered by Guillermo’s relative. They had traditional mole, rice, and beans. The beautiful 4 tier bridal cake was by Queens Bakery Cake shop. Such a masterpiece! Everyone loved it! We also had tres leches that was served after the cake cutting.rociosphotography-1738 Lucy mentioned her favorite part of the wedding was, ” The kiss of course! The whole family getting together to celebrate the unity of two families and the food! ( In no particular order -lol).

At the end of a perfect night we ended with a sparkler send off in front of the Ashven Estate barn. This picture sums up how much love was there!

After the wedding I always ask my brides whats some advice they would give to other brides. Lucy nailed her answer! She answered, ” Really enjoy every moment of it from the planning on down, it goes by so fast! Don’t stress the little things, they don’t even matter. Family is everything! At the end of it all- you take home your best friend/groom, some good cake, and gifts. What more could you ask for??

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Honorato!
