Mike and Dana’s Winery Wedding

This wedding is what winery wedding dreams are made of. I loved working with so many talented vendors at some a stunning location, Chateau Elan.  Mike and Dana were just the most easy fun loving couple- which always helps!

On August 25, 2018 Mike and Dana, became The Butlers at the beautiful Chateau Elan Winery. We started the day by checking in on the bridesmaids and Dana was just having a blast being with her besties in their adorable getting ready attire and getting their hair and makeup done by the awesome girls at Bombshell Creations. I had asked Dana what her favorite part of her wedding was, ” One of my favorites part of our wedding day was getting ready with my girls. I had everything planned (and had an awesome wedding planner), so the day of was peaceful, and had no hiccups. All my bridesmaids said it was the most laid-back, relaxing wedding they’d ever been a part of. My other favorite part of our day was the ten minutes I set aside for Mike and I to just be with each other, and be intentional about it, right before the ceremony. It was just us, and we got a minute to relax, breathe, and take silly Snapchat selfies together.

We then went to the ceremony site – behind the main winery in the vineyard and Design House Flowers were already prepping the arch and getting the reception space looking pristine. Design House of Flowers  had made draped the ceiling to create a starburst effect and it really did make the reception space stand out in elegance.

Once I met up with the groomsmen we were about ready for the First Look, which took place in the atrium of Chateau Elan. This was so perfectly captured by Atalie Ann Photography. After Mike and Dana saw each other for the first time they went to the wishing pond in the atrium and even threw in some coins for good luck.

Once the ceremony started we had Southern City Lights cue the music and they exchanged their vows in the vineyard. The weather was perfect that day and everyone was smiling at their love for each other.

Once their reception started we Southern City Lights really got the party started did an awesome job keeping guests on the dance floor. Along with keeping the fun- the photo booth by Stop the Time Photo Booths was a big hit!  One of my favorite parts of this wedding is when Mike cut the grooms cake. Mike is a Alabama fan through and through so Dana surprised him with getting him a cake from The Baking Grounds with an Alabama A on it. Once Mike cut the cake the filling was orange and blue for Auburn colors. Dana’s favorite team is Auburn so this made for a clever joke! They both laughed and laughed and it was such a fun time. Another favorite detail was the amazing donut wall that Mike made. We were able to put the Krispy Kreme donuts outs with a bunch of different flavors. Everyone was in donut heaven.

At the end of the night the happy couple was surrounded by there favorite people with all the sparklers and rode off in a golf cart! So happy that we got to be a part of this sweet celebration! Dana had said,”Most of the memories from my wedding day were a blur. However, one moment stands out: My Mom and brother walking me down the aisle to meet Mike. I was so happy, it was surreal! The background music, the view, my family, and of course- the groom- made it the happiest moment of my life. Remember to Relax. Breathe. Don’t get bogged down in the small stuff. Remember why you’re there, and to enjoy it. It’s easy to get caught up in perfection, but just remember: it’s supposed to be fun!”  Cheers to the Butlers!!!
