Sarah and Joey’s Fox Theatre Wedding
I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah’s mom, Jodi, through our neighborhood Facebook group! I knew we would get along. Jodi gave me the vision that her and her daughter had and I was super excited to be able to work at one of my favorite childhood places- The Fox Theatre.
We had a few meetings with some of the vendors for the big day and I quickly fell in love with all of them. What a dream team!!!
Fast forward a few months and it was Sarah and Joey’s wedding day- June 30th, 2018. My assistants, Barbara and Liz, arrived ready and excited. We were able to meet the girls at the gorgeous Georgian Terrace -across the street from The Fox Theatre and saw the girls enjoying their mimosas and time getting their hair and makeup done by Three Thirteen Salon. Once I knew they were dressed and ready I had the girls meet me at one of the rooms at The Fox Theatre and gave them their stunning bouquets by Sean O’Keefe Events. I had my staff pin the sweetest boutonnieres on the groom and groomsmen.
Sarah and Joey were ready for their first look and it was captured so perfectly by Picture This! Photography. I was so excited to see the ballroom transfer to what we all have been talking about- Sean O’Keefe Events as well as Affairs to Remember really made it pop! I loved the rich colors and the terrariums on the estate table. Sarah’s favorite movie is Alice and Wonderland- Sean O’Keefe Events was able to incorporate this in all the mirrors by putting some of the movie quotes on them.
So perfect! I also loved the idea of reusing the floral arch for the ceremony as the backdrop of the stunning wedding cake (White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails) for the reception. Once the cake was cut we kept the same floral arch and had it as the back drop for the super fun photobooth by Jammin Dj’s Georgia.
Once all the wedding party and family photos by Picture This! Photography were almost done, preceremony music (classical guitarist) had started by Lee J Howard Entertainment. We were graced by the instrumentals of Elvis- Sarah works at Elvis Pressley’s Graceland so naturally we had to incorporate some Elvis in their day!
After Sarah and Joey exchanged their vows we had some lovely drinks outside at the Terrace part of the Fox Theatre by Affairs to Remember. We had to do some final pictures and move the floral arch and then we were ready for the wedding party introductions. Lee J Howard Entertainment rocked it with starting with “Let’s Go Crazy- Prince” and into Sarah and Joey’s first dance – “Stay, Stay, Stay – by Taylor Swift”. Sarah’s wedding dress was perfect for their theme- The Barefoot Bride Bridal Boutique was the ideal choice. Once all the traditional dances were complete, everyone enjoyed the food stations by Affairs to Remember. I encourage EVERYONE to do a tasting with this amazing company. Their presentation and food variety is outstanding.
Proceeding the toasts and cake cutting, the dance floor was completely full until the end of the night. Everyone loved the photobooth on the stage and enjoyed getting to take a photo strip home along with a personalized Coca Cola bottle- love this touch especially since its an Atlanta wedding! We ended the night with bubbles at the marquee sign lighting their names. I always ask couples what their favorite part of the day was. Sarah said, ” Finding just one moment to say was the most memorable part of the day is difficult; every moment was memorable. If I do have to choose one is having a mix of all my favorite people from various times in my life in one place was incredibly special. My favorite part, besides the wedding cake, was how much fun that not only Joey and I had, but the fun everyone else who attended had. It was so wonderful to hear that ours was the most fun wedding that they have ever attended.” Sarah had some advice for future clients and brides/grooms, ” Trust the professionals that you have hired to make your wedding day perfect. They know what they are doing and will make your day exactly what you envision.”
Thank you sweet Sarah and Joey for letting me be a part of your perfect day!
Congrats to the happy couple!!
