The timeless Atlanta wedding of Lauren and Max Thrasher took place at a venue that is nestled in the heart of Atlanta – The Wimbish House. This venue has so much history and is such a show stopper. I was delighted when Lauren contacted me and told me that her and Max were getting married on May 19,2018 at the Wimbish House. I first met Lauren and her family at the Marietta Square for a consultation. I was happily welcomed by the family and I was so excited to be helping with their wedding as well as the bridal shower.

All the details of this spring day was picture perfect by Robin Gerrard Photography and the videography team: Petit Four Films. The color palette was to die for and was ideal for The Wimbish house. Lots of greenery, light pink, and ivory. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Chuck Milne Productions and their floral team to capture the full design. Linens provided by BBJ.
I am falling more in love with the idea of first looks with your father or father figure. This is just such a tender moment and it is one memory that Lauren will cherish forever.

Lauren was simply stunning in her LaRaines Bridal Boutique Gown with hair done by the talented Rod Lawson and makeup done by Nikole Pettus. Her bridal squad had beautiful navy floor length gowns by Bridals By Lori. Max was handsome in his dark grey Guffey’s suit with a new watch as a gift from his bride to be. The moment they saw each other when Lauren walked down the aisle took everyone’s breath away. There was not a single dry eye. Lauren and her father walked down the aisle to the beautiful trio of Etude Entertainment. Lauren told me her favorite part of their wedding was walking down the the aisle to see Max. “We didn’t do a first look and we were both overwhelmed by the emotions. Seeing my soon to be husband waiting for me was something I’ll never forget. ”
The dinner was catered by Zest Catering and was out of this world! So many guests kept on going back for seconds and the presentation was lovely. After dinner the couple had speeches done by their best man and maid of honor followed by their gorgeous cake. Their cake was a replica of Lauren’s dress and The Perfect Wedding Cake nailed it. If you haven’t had a moment to check them out, I suggest you go to a cake tasting and get your next cake from this talented company!!
Everyone danced the night away to the fun and upbeat DJ Evan Malloy with Lethal Rhythms. The crowd was non stop dancing and enjoying the signature drinks by Zest Catering as well. Some advice from the new Lauren Thrasher, ” Do not believe you can do it on your own! You can’t! Get help from family friends and a great planner. They will help you actually enjoy the day. Also appreciate and embrace every moment of your wedding day. It goes by so fast and it will be over before you know it! And remember what it’s all about- your future life with your husband. People will remember the love and joy you and your husband shared that day and every day follow!”
