Lisa and Scott’s Dunaway Garden Wedding
” I carry your heart with me, I carry it in my heart” This poem was recited by the sister of the bride during her speech. I must say.. the vows, speeches, and romantic atmosphere made this wedding stand out for just being so sweet. Lisa and Scott have a love that is one for a lifetime and I am so honored I could be able to witness their beautiful commitment to each other.
I was referred to Lisa and Scott from the very talented Sweet Creations by Candi. She ended up making their gorgeous buttercream 3 tier bridal cake. I ended up meeting them at Rev Coffee – my favorite little spot in Smyrna and I knew we would be fast friends. I could tell they were both so excited to spend the rest of their lives together!
On Sunday June 10th, 2018 we had quite the celebration. Dunaway Gardens is the ideal venue for a picture perfect wedding. The rain did not stop us… it brought out the luscious greenery even more and made the colors pop as they exchanged their vows at the top of the pavilion. What I loved about this wedding is the fact that Lisa and Scott wrote their own vows to each other and every one witnessed, but it was still private due to Lisa and Scott not exchanging them over the microphone. This made all of us tear up to see their raw emotion. Later I asked Lisa what her favorite part of the wedding was and her answer was my favorite part too , ” Our favorite part of our wedding was when we exchanged our vows and said I do! We will never forget being surrounded by friends and family on our special day, the dreamy gardens where we were married, and being pronounced husband and wife for the first time! ”
I also was able to enjoy going to their tasting and getting the same food at their wedding by the amazing and unique Sun In My Belly... I can still taste the mushroom ravioli- everyone should experience this and their Capri sun adult beverages.
The garden flowers were provided by Moon Flower Design and my staff arranged them on the tables… super fitting for the venue. I loved the wild flower design of bouquets that looked stunning against Lisa’s gown by David’s Bridal. Lisa looked breathtaking with her hair and makeup done by some of my favorite vendors- BLUSH Studio.
We danced the night away with Far Out Galaxy– DJ Cuttlefish and had a lot of photobooth fun with Robot Booth. The dance floor got super packed and excited once they played Stand Out by Tevin Campbell. I had not heard that song since I was a kid- happy it is making an appearance again.
The night ended with an adorable flower toss exit captured by the talented Wild In Love Photo. We thoroughly enjoyed working with you and hope to work more weddings with you in the future.
Some very wise and perfect advice from Lisa: ” Just Relax, stay present, and enjoy every moment”- I feel like Lisa stayed very true to her advice on their special day!
Cheers to Lisa and Scott!!
Excellent blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress
or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused
.. Any tips? Kudos!
I love WordPress! Good luck!
